Meskipun bukan sepeda "high-end", tetapi merupakan kebanggaan kami, karena nyaris semuanya dirakit di rumah sendiri. Upaya yang dimulai dari mengumpulkan alat-alat (tools) spesifik sepeda sampai perlengkapan untuk pemeliharaannya.  Aktivitas tersendiri dalam merakit dan memelihara yang menghabiskan banyak waktu selain kegiatan bersepeda sendiri.&lt;br /&gt;       Yogyakarta, kota dimana kami tinggal, dulunya dikenal sebagai "kota sepeda". Setidaknya sudah 3 generasi di keluarga kami akrab dengan sepeda. Tidak hanya untuk ke tempat kerja atau sekolah, tetapi juga sebagai sarana rekreasi. Saat ini memang kegiatan "cross-country" adalah yang paling mendominasi kegiatan bersepeda keluarga.&lt;br /&gt;       Sebuah kesinambungan sejak era tahun 1970an, hobby bersepeda dilakukan dengan menjelajah alam dan desa melalui jalan tanah setapak yang waktu itu dilakukan dengan sepeda klasik. Although, they do not classified as high-end bikes, but we proudly collect them. Almost all parts of those bicycles were house-assembled. The effort begins with buying specific tools for bike and any other goods and equipments for maintenance. Assemble and maintenance bicycles takes a lot of time others than cycling activities.&lt;br /&gt;       We live in a town named Yogyakarta, which formerly well known as a "bike city". At least three generations in our family have become bike friendly. Not only brought us to work or school, but also for recreational purposes. Nowadays, the family biking activities dominated by cross-country outdoor events.&lt;br /&gt;       We do it continuously since ca. 1970 using "classical" bikes for crossing bushes, village tracks, and rice field step ways. It’s an understandable thing that mostly our collections are cross-country specific bikes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;img src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o21/wienbw/france_flag.gif" border="0" align="left" /&gt;        Ce site contient tout ce qui a la relation avec les bicyclettes. Bien que ce ne soit pas celles de qualité suprème, mais pour nous c'est vraiment une fierté de les collectionner. Presque toutes les parties de ces bicyclettes sont assemblées à la maison. On commence par acheter des appareils pour bicyclette et d'autres objets et équipements pour les maintenir. L'assemblage et le maintien prennent autant de temps que l'activité du cyclisme.&lt;br /&gt;        On habite une ville qui s'appelle Yogyakarta, qui était auparavant connue comme "la ville des vélos". Ça fait trois générations dans notre famille qu'on est très familier avec le vélo. On le prend non seulement pour aller au travail ou à l'école, mais c'est aussi un moyen de récréation. A présent le "cross country" domine l'activité du cyclisme de la famille.&lt;br /&gt;        C'est une habitude qui se déroule depuis l'année 1970, utilisant des vélos 'classiques'  pour traverser des buissons, la campagne, les sentiers des rizières. C'est la raison pourquoi on préfère avoir des vélos du type 'cross-country' comme collection.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;img src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o21/wienbw/germany-flag.gif" border="0" align="left" /&gt;         Auf dieser Seite wollen wir die Fahrraeder vorstellen die zur Zeit unserer Familie gehoeren.Obwohl diese Raeder keine "high-end" Geraete sind, sind wir recht stolz auf sie, haben wir sie doch alle selbst hier im Hause zusammengebaut. Der Aufwand begann mit der Zusammenstellung der speziellen Fahrrad Werkzeuge bis hin zur Vervollstaendigung der "tools" die zur Instandhaltung noetig sind. Ganz zu schweigen vom betraechtlichen Zeitaufwand fuer die Bikes. Einerseits fuer den Zusammenbau und die Instandhaltung andrerseits die Zeit fuer die eigentlichen Radfahr -Aktivitaeten.&lt;br /&gt;        Yogyakarta, die Stadt in der wir leben, war frueher bekannt als "Radler-Stadt".In unserer Familie werden Raeder schon seit mehr als 3 Generationen verwendet. Nicht nur um zur Arbeit zu fahren oder in die Schule, aber auch als echtes Freizeitvergnuegen. Zur Zeit ist "Cross-Country" unser beliebtester Familiensport.&lt;br /&gt;         Diese Ausfluege wurden seit 1970 mehr und mehr zum Hobby. Mit "klassischen" Bikes geht es durch die Landschaft, zu entlegenen Doerfern, an Reisfeldern vorbei, durch Baeche und Fluesse... Liyang adalah brand mountain bike buatan Taiwan pertama yang masuk pasaran USA. Mungkin atas pertimbangan komersial, Liyang masuk Indonesia dengan brand "Master". Pada masanya, Liyang Aluminium Series termasuk frame oversize yang paling ringan, karena pasaran sepeda Indonesia saat itu masih didominasi frame ukuran standard dari bahan besi dan chrome-moly.&lt;br /&gt;        Sepeda ini dirakit pertama kali tahun 1991 dengan groupset Shimano Deore 300-LX, dan berat keseluruhan hanya 10,5 kgr (Mk-1). Nasib menentukan lain, frame dicat dan dirakit ulang tahun 2006 dan kembali merambah medan cross-country (Mk-2). Masih dipertahankan, karena merupakan kesayangan diantara semua koleksi sepeda kami. Sangat nyaman, stabil dikendarai, dan untuk masa kini terhitung masih cukup ringan. Sungguh merupakan sebuah perjuangan untuk merakit kembali sepeda ini dengan parts masa kini, karena geometri frame yang sudah lewat jamannya.&lt;br /&gt;       Akhirnya tahun 2007 cat dikelupas (polished) dan tampilan berganti, seiring dengan difungsikannya sepeda ini untuk commuter, untuk dipakai bagi kegiatan sehari-hari (MK-3). Sepeda ini adalah yang paling jangkung, dengan ukurannya yang 20,5 inch. Tidak semua bisa mengendarainya, karena sebentar saja sudah pegal-pegal terutama di otot lengan.&lt;br /&gt;        Alpinestars saat ini tidak berproduksi sepeda lagi, dan type ini merupakan Racing Replica yang legendaris diajang lomba XC pada jamannya. Ciri mereka sangat spesifik dengan model frame bongsor seperti itu dan top tube yang relatif panjang, namun bobotnya cukup ringan.&lt;br /&gt;Sepeda ini dirakit pertama tahun 1993, dengan sangat memperhatikan warna polish aluminium ekspos, bahkan sejak baru semua sticker dan decal tidak dipasang. Pemilihan parts juga sangat diperhatikan, agar memperkuat nuansa kilaunya. Pada kenyataannya tidak semua jalan yang dilalui adalah aspal mulus seperti layaknya perkotaan. Kemacetan jalan mengharuskan kegiatan B2W untuk melewati jalan tikus dengan banyak barikade, jalan off-road perkotaan, dan juga harus menerobos kemacetan dengan jeli memanfaatkan alur trotoir atau melewati devider jalan.&lt;br /&gt;       Pemikiran agar terwujud sebuah sepeda yang "all-round" sampai kepada angan-angan menciptakan sepeda yang lebih tepat disebut sebagai Urban-DJ. Mungkin tidak sepenuhnya sesuai dengan yang diangankan, tetapi paling tidak mendekati. Keputusan bulat untuk bongkar total dan mewujudkan sepeda yang lebih serba guna, dengan mengganti nyaris seluruh parts sepeda aslinya (yang dibeli dalam bentuk full-bike). Mulanya tampak kusam, setelah diusung dan dibersihkan ternyata masih dalam keadaan bagus dan mengkilap. Konsep waktu melakukan restorasi adalah hanya mengganti bagian yang perlu saja untuk mempertahankan orisinalitasnya. Komponen yang diganti hanya sebatas chain, kabel-kabel, sadel, dan ban. Berbeda dengan satunya, sepeda buatan tahun 1992 ini akan difungsikan sebagai sepeda Light-XC.&lt;br /&gt;        Masalahnya adalah fork suspension-nya (Klein memakai RockShox MC-20) yang sudah tidak bisa difungsikan sama sekali. Mau tidak mau harus menggunakan fork generasi yang lebih baru, dan sesuai dengan yang digunakan oleh Klein pada sepedanya yang lebih baru, maka digunakan RockShox J2 yang kemudian dicat air-brush dengan warna senada. Tidak urung maka harus mengganti headset dengan catridge, dan tak bisa mempertahankan stem dan handlebar originalnya. Apalagi warnanya adalah warna resmi dari BMC Racing Team. Sebuah pilihan dari beberapa alternatif yang diincar, seperti Kona Kula Supreme, Specialized S-Works, Cozmic RX-3 Carbon, dan lainnya lagi yang semuanya jauh lebih ringan. Mengapa pilihan dijatuhkan pada BMC Team Elite 02, apalagi kalau bukan dari teknologi yang ditawarkannya.&lt;br /&gt;        Untuk mengurangi biaya, memang tidak semua parts adalah baru. Pilihan frame jatuh pada sebuah frame chromoly yang pada sekitar tahun 1990 merupakan sebuah frame yang dikenal mempunyai geometry yang nyaman dikendarai. Meskipun frame ini sebuah frame lama, tetapi dibeli dalam keadaan baru. Beberapa parts diusahakan yang berharga murah atau menggunakan parts yang sudah dipunyai.&lt;br /&gt;        Akhirnya sepeda ini menjadi model untuk pembuatan sepeda ekonomis yang fungsional di kota kami. Ini adalah cerita tentang Federal Street-Cat pensiunan B2W. Sudah hampir 15 tahun bertugas sebelum mengakhiri kariernya. Namun demikian di masa pensiun, dia tak mau berhenti berbakti. Sekarang dipakai pak tukang yang kerja di rumah,  dan masih mengantarnya dari desa ke tempat kerja di rumah kami.&lt;br /&gt;     Seperti layaknya masa itu, sepeda dengan sistem mekanik Shimano SIS ini dibeli tahun 1991, dan merupakan sepeda MTB pertama kami. Percaya atau tidak, waktu barunya sepeda ini nangkring di kamar tidur agar bisa dipandangi sepanjang malam. Bangga rasanya bisa membelinya. Setelah itu, dia kemudian disusul teman-teman yang lain, yaitu Federal Wild-Cat, Kent generik, Diamond Back  Response (sepeda dengan suspension-fork kami yang pertama), dan sepeda MTB mini 16 inch. Saat ini mereka semua sudah tidak nangkring  dirumah, kecuali sang Federal ini.&lt;br /&gt;     Pada saat masih baru semua parts masih terbuat dari besi, dan hanya selang umur 2 bulan wheelset dan seatpost diganti aluminium. Kisah selanjutnya, sekitar 5 tahun kemudian warna aslinya yang hijau-putih dicat ulang dengan warna silver. Meski dengan rangka yang sudah patah lebih sekali, tapi masih kokoh berdiri sebagai lambang ketegaran menghadapi era teknologi baru.&lt;br /&gt;     Jelas, sepeda ini bukan generik atau buatan China, tetapi dilahirkan dalam bentuk CBU di Inggris dan Belanda. Saat ini sudah tak laik jalan kalau tidak mau tertatih, tetapi masih diabadikan dan dipelihara sebagai layaknya sepeda museum.&lt;br /&gt;     Sepanjang riwayat tugasnya, mereka dihabiskan untuk mengantar ke tempat kerja, pergi ke sekolah, merenda kasih, rekreasi, bahkan dipakai off-road ketika jauh sebelum ada sepeda MTB. Kerja keras selama 2 generasi membuatnya tampak lelah, dan tak heran beberapa organ tubuhnya sudah tak orisinil lagi. Mengapa? Tak bisa dipungkiri bermain sepeda tidak hanya menyenangkan saat mengayuh sepeda. Kegiatan lain merakit dan mengothak-athik sepeda juga bagian dari rekreasi. Ada hari untuk naik sepeda, dan di hari lain saat badan masih pegal-pegal paling enak ya kerja di "workshop". Semuanya adalah sebuah rekreasi yang menyenangkan hati. Merawat, melakukan setting, dan menata ulang komponen sepeda berlangsung dengan aktivitas tinggi. Tak hanya buat sepeda sendiri, tetapi juga merakit dan merawat sepeda teman-teman, agar bisa bersepedaan bersama. Tak urung, maka swap antar parts sepeda terjadi dalam frekuensi yang cukup tinggi.
